Role Overview
- Support both BAU and project work within the Finance workstream of the Athora integration project
- Support production of all the regulatory reporting produced by the Finance function including:
- The quarterly and annual Quantitative Reporting Templates (QRTs) for the regulated and group entities;
- The Solvency and Financial Condition Reports (SFCRs);
- New group reporting requirements to the Athora Group; and
- Liquidity reporting
- The role holder will have responsibility for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of regulatory deliverables and supporting regulatory reporting for both PIC and PICG
- Work closely with members of the Finance business teams to support the Athora integration project and shape PIC’s ongoing reporting to Athora
- Support the testing and dry run of the Athora integration and work closely with Change Accounting team as well as external project teams
- Drafting of the 2026 SFCRs, including testing and preparation of the Workiva narrative reporting system
- Analysis of the latest regulatory changes to the SUK framework, including updating of existing methodology documents and models
- Testing of the Tagetik reporting system ensuring preparedness for Q4 and annual reporting
- Review and analysis of quarterly QRTs
- Support the timely preparation and delivery of reporting templates to Athora.
- Provide support on ad hoc tasks, answering queries, contributing to team wide projects and initiatives as needed
Requirements
Experience:
- Proven post qualification financial reporting experience
- Experience in entity and group reporting within financial services (preferred), ideally within insurance industry or similar within a big 4 accounting environment
- Working knowledge of Solvency UK and its implications for life insurance reporting
- Experience of working on projects and meeting agreed timetables and deadlines
Knowledge:
- Detailed knowledge of the Life Insurance industry and the relevant reporting metrics such as IFRS, Solvency II
- Experience gained from other reporting roles.
- Fundamental knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office package – especially Excel
- A good understanding of Solvency UK (SUK) regulatory accounting and reporting requirements and their application to Life insurance companies
- Knowledge of Tagetik and Workiva

- Ability to influence key senior stakeholders and to analyse complex problems and propose solutions
- Ability to work under pressure towards tight deadlines and to prioritise and distinguish what really matters amongst a large quantity of information and make judgement calls
- Ability to create and deliver clear and concise written reports and to take existing processes and improve/ simplify

- Ability to drive change and contribute to ongoing projects and initiatives
