About this role
Role Overview
- Develop and maintain full stack applications using modern frontend and backend technologies
- Build responsive user interfaces using JavaScript, React, and JSX (with exposure to TypeScript)
- Design and implement backend services using Node.js, Python, and Rust for high-performance components
- Develop and deploy microservices architectures using Kubernetes and Helm
- Implement service mesh, load balancing, and multi-site deployment strategies
- Support cloud migration efforts and optimize cloud-based system performance
- Integrate messaging systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other message fabrics
- Utilize infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Salt) for deployment and automation
- Develop and maintain real-time data processing using WebSockets and streaming technologies
- Implement testing frameworks (e.g., Jest) to ensure code quality and reliability
- Monitor system performance using tools such as Grafana and InfluxDB
- Work with a variety of data stores including MySQL, Redis, Elasticsearch, and Neo4j
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to system architecture decisions
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph with this Customer.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 12+ years of software engineering experience
- Strong experience with frontend development using JavaScript and React/JSX
- Experience with backend development using Node.js, Python, and/or Rust
- Experience designing and deploying microservices architectures
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration
- Familiarity with CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and cloud migration strategies
- Experience with distributed systems, messaging frameworks, and real-time data processing
- Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and observability tools (e.g., Grafana)
- Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases
- Familiarity with big data and data flow tools such as NiFi
- Understanding of security labeling and compliance standards (e.g., CAM, LAC, COI)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
