Software Engineering Specialist – Staff Engineer

Role Overview

• Lead high-impact architectural decisions (scalability, performance, and sustainability)
• Work across teams to ensure technical consistency
• Influence technology strategy alongside leadership
• Raise the team's technical level through mentorship and best practices
• Define and evolve engineering standards (architecture, quality, observability, security)
• Work with metrics (SLIs/SLOs/SLAs) to ensure system health
• Promote a data-driven culture and continuous improvement
• Foster innovation and experimentation
• Disseminate best practices, including strategic use of AI

Requirements

• Solid experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and React
• Strong background with distributed systems and microservices
• Experience with APIs (REST, GraphQL, or RPC)
• Experience with high-scale production systems
• Experience with cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure, or similar)
• Knowledge of CI/CD, testing, and observability
• Ability to influence technical and business decisions
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
