Senior Aviation Project Manager

Role Overview

• Join our team in Laurel, MD, or Alexandria, VA
• Lead design teams and manage large, complex aviation programs
• Deliver aviation design projects successfully
• Build client relationships and identify market opportunities
• Secure new work and grow accounts
• Travel for client meetings and project work
• Coach and mentor project teams

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or ability to obtain within 12 months
• 10–15 years of experience delivering aviation design projects
• Demonstrated experience leading design teams and managing large, complex aviation programs (airside, landside, and terminal)
• Experience delivering successful projects with public agencies such as Airports
• A strong seller‑doer mindset, including: Client relationship building, Pursuit strategy and positioning, Proposal and interview participation, Market assessment and opportunity identification
• Ability to secure new work and grow existing accounts
• Ability to travel for client meetings, project work, and pursuits
• A passion for coaching, developing, and mentoring project teams
• A strong focus on quality and long‑term client satisfaction
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, matrixed environment
• Strong writing and communication skills, particularly for proposals and client‑facing materials
