Category Manager – Fiber, Northern/Southern Bleached Softwood Kraft, Alternative Fiber

Role Overview

• Lead development and execution of K-C’s NBSK/SBSK sourcing category strategy
• Manage a spend portfolio of ~$250MM
• Communicate on a regular basis to key internal stakeholders
• Provide on-going expert level supply category knowledge and market intelligence insights
• Create a strategic plan for the category
• Lead global RFx events across all Personal Care business Segments
• Maintain category knowledge and ensure strategies remain informed
• Lead commercial negotiations of supply contracts
• Construct value stream industry maps and market comparable cost analysis
• Lead initiatives that enable revenue growth and supply chain optimization
• Establish trust and accountability with stakeholders

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in business, supply chain or related discipline
• 5+ years’ experience in Procurement or other supply chain related function
• Excellent communication skills (both written and oral)
• Cross functional collaboration and influencing skills
• Project management skills
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently in heavily matrixed organization
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
