Provides strategic project management leadership for a line of business (LOB) or function
Delivers strategically significant, complex, multi-year projects and programs
Includes communicating the organizational impacts of the change and providing creative solutions to the executive team with respect to project and change management activities
Builds a strong network and relationships with Executives
Develops and implements project plans
Creates and implements training and development plans
Leads strategic initiatives focusing on horizontal alignment across functions
Manages usage of enterprise tools and templates
Provides change management expertise to initiatives
Ensures project risks are managed in a manner consistent with the Enterprise Operational Risk Management Framework (ORMF)
Requirements
University degree/college diploma and/or 12+ years of related work experience
Expert knowledge and experience in project management with demonstrated ability to deliver on time and on budget
Strong working knowledge of core BMO leadership competencies including knowledge of the business environment and products, understanding of the workings of the organization and procedures, and proficiency in the use of standards/tools and methodologies
Demonstrates experience in building a project management structure and operations
Expert ability to impact and influence project direction and outcomes
Expert knowledge of organizational change management
