About this role
Role Overview
Lead and perform targeted or ad-hoc Independent Assurance activities
Serve as a subject matter expert in the assigned areas and maintain industry relations
Design, develop, and maintain the Independent Assurance framework and methodology
Proactively identify, propose improvements and changes for assurance processes and framework and develop tailor-made solutions
Guide Assurance Department employees and ensure quality documentation
Ensure compliance activities meet regulatory requirements
Contribute to Compliance Risk Assessment and internal, external reporting
Follow up on gaps and remediation actions and escalate risks related to those
Plan and prioritize Assurance activities in the Department
Coordinate tasks, projects with stakeholders in Luminor with little guidance
Participate in projects and other Compliance Division activities
Requirements
Higher education in Internal Audit, Law, Economics, Business Management, Finance, or related field
Experience of at least 5-7 years in compliance assurance activities
Extensive knowledge and experience of best practices in managing Compliance risks associated with the bank business model
Analytical, critical thinking and ability to propose justified decisions
Very good understanding of banking products, processes, and IT systems
Expertise in working with regulatory aspects and business processes, expert knowledge of European and Baltic regulations
Advanced English language proficiency in spoken and written communication and excellent Latvian, Lithuanian or Estonian language skills
Preferred certifications in Internal Audit, Sanctions and/or AML area
Ability to act independently and proactively on new or special assignments
Strong people, project coordination skills and exceptional ability to manage stakeholders
Quick learning, thoroughness, and accountability
