Role Overview
- Structural analysis for delegated steel connection design projects
- Design of steel connections, miscellaneous steel design, and erection engineering
- Calculation development and steel shop drawing reviews
- Submittal preparation and RFI development
- Utilize analysis software programs
- Review 3-D BIM models
- Maintain oversight of project schedules
- Collaborate with project managers, detailers, fabricators, and erectors
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering
- Master’s degree in civil or structural engineering is a plus
- PE certification
- 3+ years of structural engineering experience
- Advanced understanding of relevant building codes, materials, and standards
- Enthusiasm and desire to succeed and develop technical skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Software skills with programs like Ram Connection, RISA Connection, Excel, Idea Statica, BlueBeam, Trimble Connect, and Revit
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to thrive under pressure and meet deadlines
- Passion for steel design
