Lead our Purchasing & Supplier Management team, supporting our Danbury and Winsted plants, with clear strategies and strong decisions to drive operational excellence and supplier partnerships.
Develop and implement purchasing strategies, policies, and procedures tailored to the assigned organizational unit
Monitor and establish performance metrics to ensure effective purchasing activities across all levels
Guide and expand the supplier base focusing on quality, cost, and delivery (QCD) targets
Collaborate in make-or-buy decisions for sourcing optimization
Manage planning, prioritization, and allocation of resources and budgets within the department
Initiate and coordinate continuous improvement initiatives to enhance purchasing processes
Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management or a comparable field
7+ years of experience in purchasing and supplier development in a manufacturing or production environment
5+ years of leadership experience in a group leader or manager role
Strong analytical skills with the ability to establish and monitor performance metrics
Excellent decision-making and resource management capabilities
Proficient communication skills and a leadership mindset suitable for managing teams and cross-functional collaboration
