About this role
Role Overview
Supporting and enhancing Risk & Compliance function
Acting as a first point of contact for compliance queries
Assisting with complaints handling, root cause analysis, and investigation of potential conduct or regulatory breaches
Supporting the Risk Director and COLP in assessing and escalating reportable issues
Monitoring adherence to SRA Standards and Regulations
Supporting regulatory audits, internal investigations, and thematic reviews
Maintaining the firm’s risk management framework
Support the Risk Director identifying, assessing, and mitigating various risks
Conducting file reviews and thematic audits
Supporting incident management processes
Assisting with annual PII renewals and coordinating with brokers and insurers
Maintaining compliance policies, procedures, and governance reporting to senior management
Requirements
Qualified solicitor in England & Wales with approximately 2 years’ PQE
Experience in litigation (ideally claimant or group litigation) and/or compliance/regulatory work
Strong understanding of the Solicitors Regulation Authority regulatory framework
Familiarity with risks associated with high-volume claims, funding structures, and client onboarding processes
Exposure to professional indemnity insurance (PII), claims handling, or insurance renewals is highly desirable
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Confident communicator, able to engage with fee earners, brokers, insurers, and senior stakeholders
Pragmatic and commercially aware
Proactive and solutions-focused
Resilient and comfortable working in a high-volume environment
High level of integrity and sound judgment
