Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Quality Engineers, including performance reviews, coaching, and career development.
Define and implement comprehensive testing strategies, methodologies, and processes for multiple product lines, covering functional, integration, regression, performance, and security testing.
Oversee the creation and maintenance of test plans, test cases, and test data, ensuring thorough test coverage aligned with product requirements.
Drive adoption and implementation of automation frameworks and tools to improve testing efficiency and effectiveness.
Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and other cross-functional teams to understand product vision, requirements, and technical design, providing early feedback on quality considerations.
Establish and monitor key quality metrics, reporting on team performance, product quality trends, and risks to stakeholders.
Champion continuous improvement initiatives within the QA organization and across broader engineering teams.
Participate in hiring and onboarding new Quality Engineers.
Stay current with industry best practices in quality assurance and software testing.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field; or equivalent practical experience.
10+ years of experience in software quality assurance or quality engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
Proven experience building, managing, and mentoring high-performing QA teams.
Strong understanding of software development life cycles (SDLCs), Agile methodologies, and QA best practices.
Extensive experience with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright).
Solid understanding of various types and methodologies of testing (e.g., black-box, white-box, performance, security, accessibility).
Experience with cloud-based platforms (AWS, GCP) and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
Demonstrated ability to strategically plan and execute quality initiatives that align with business goals.
Experience with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
