Install, configure, operate, and maintain Windows Server environments and associated roles and features in accordance with COSC standards and established procedures
Administer and support Active Directory services, including user accounts, security groups, Group Policy, shared directories, and access permissions
Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft IIS web servers, including application configuration and foundational security settings such as authentication and SSL
Support and maintain data center hardware and infrastructure, including Dell PowerEdge servers, enterprise storage platforms, and backup systems, under established operational guidelines
Monitor assigned systems and applications to ensure availability, performance, and reliability, taking proactive corrective action and escalating issues as appropriate
Perform routine patching, updates, and system maintenance during established maintenance windows, including monthly scheduled patch cycles
Participate in on-call rotations and respond to system interruptions, outages, or after-hours incidents in accordance with operational procedures
Monitor backup operations and perform file, object, and system restores as required; assist with backup validation and testing activities
Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application issues, performing initial root-cause analysis and coordinating resolution with senior staff or vendors when necessary
Collaborate with network engineers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure server systems integrate properly with enterprise network, security, and identity services
Create and maintain technical documentation, including configuration guides, procedures, and operational runbooks to support knowledge sharing and continuity
Adhere to COSC security standards, policies, and procedures to safeguard system integrity, availability, and data confidentiality
Perform other related duties and assigned projects consistent with the scope of the role
Requirements
One year of relevant work experience, aligning with duties and responsibilities of the role
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
A combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
Two or more years of experience supporting Windows Server, Active Directory, IIS, and SAN or enterprise storage environments
Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) or other Microsoft certifications, or equivalent experience
Experience with VMware virtualization, PowerShell scripting, and Dell PowerEdge server platforms
Experience working in a team-based IT environment supporting production systems and participating in on-call rotations
Familiarity with enterprise backup and recovery platforms (e.g., Cohesity or equivalent)
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams, vendors, and non-technical stakeholders
