Architecture & Implementation: Planning, design and deployment of high-performance network environments (switching, routing, LAN, WLAN, VPN), including VLAN/ACL segmentation, Quality of Service (QoS) and redundancy concepts.
Security by Design: Designing, deploying and operating modern next-generation firewalls (e.g., Sophos XGS).
Implementation of security standards such as hardening, Zero Trust, port security, NAC and RBAC.
Server & Platform Operations: Administration of heterogeneous Windows and Linux server environments, Active Directory and virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V, DataCore) with a focus on availability, scalability and security.
WLAN Management: Planning, RF planning (site surveys) and operation of professional WLAN infrastructures (e.g., ARUBA Central), ideally based on Ekahau concepts.
Operations & Troubleshooting: Proactive monitoring as well as analysis and resolution of complex network and infrastructure incidents (2nd/3rd level).
Documentation & Handover: Creation of clear system and project documentation and structured handovers to ongoing IT operations.
Consulting & Collaboration: Close coordination with project management and sales. Technical consulting for customers—from concept to go-live—as the client's competent technical point of contact.

Completed technical training (e.g., IT specialist), degree in IT or a comparable qualification
Several years' experience in IT security and firewall operations (2nd/3rd level), ideally with Sophos XGS
Solid knowledge of network administration (switching, routing, VLAN), preferably with ARUBA Central
Experience in server administration (Windows Server, Active Directory) and virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V)
Experienced in professional WLAN management and access point concepts
Communication skills: Confident, service-oriented manner when interacting with customers and colleagues; very good German and good English skills
Flexibility & mobility: Comfortable working in varying customer environments and holding a valid driver's license (class B)
