About this role
Role Overview
Develop core deliverables (eg, PowerPoint slides, manuscripts, video scripts, executive summaries) and ancillary materials (eg, participant handouts, moderator guides) for medical communication projects
Perform and analyze literature searches and scientific research regarding clinical data and key scientific information for content development projects to meet client needs
Collaborate with the Medical Director, in partnership with Creative and Client Services, on medical storytelling
Partner with Presentation and Graphic Designers on various illustrations, animations, and creative applications of medical and scientific information
Develop relationships and collaborate closely with clients and key opinion leaders
Conduct quality checks on all content-related materials
Support project management within the cross-functional team
Train and mentor more junior medical writers
Maintain full compliance with legal, regulatory, and corporate requirements
Requirements
Advanced degree (eg, MD, PhD, PharmD, MPH, MS) in a healthcare-related field required
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in medical education, scientific research, or clinical practice/insights preferred
2-3 years of experience in medical education in a pharmaceutical company or medical communications agency required
Experience in promotional/medical communication to healthcare professionals preferred
Experience with medical, legal, and regulatory reviews preferred
Expert verbal and written communication skills in the field of medical science
Intermediate ability to analyze the scientific relevance, validity, and credibility of the published medical literature
Intermediate level of conceptual and functional understanding of modern digital marketing practices and the applications of artificial intelligence technology
