About this role
Role Overview
- As an expert in Finance & Controlling, you will be directly involved in building a leading CleanTech company.
- You will work closely with the founders and build the financial structures for our growing energy projects – from business cases to operational billing processes.
- You will take responsibility for setting up systems and will also implement many topics hands-on on an operational level.
- Your responsibilities include: Accounting & Billing: Close collaboration with our tax advisor (document processing, financial statements), support for accounting processes, and handling electricity billing via tenant electricity software.
- Finance & Controlling: Establishing our project controlling, preparing and analysing business cases and profitability models, financial reporting, cashflow analyses and forecasts, KPI monitoring / KPI tracking, budget planning, financial planning, plan-vs-actual comparisons (variance analysis), management reporting, and financial modelling.
- Investor & Startup Finance: Building and maintaining our cap table, managing convertible loans, and preparing investor reporting.
- Structures & Processes: Building efficient finance and reporting structures and developing automations to make our processes scalable.
- Contracts & Project Financing: Supporting the drafting and management of contracts and, prospectively, participating in project financing activities.
Requirements
- Completed commercial training or a degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- At least 2–4 years of professional experience in a commercial role, ideally in a project-oriented company (startups, consulting, construction, energy, etc.)
- Confident user of Excel/Sheets
- Structured and highly independent working style
- Very good German skills, good English skills
