About this role
Role Overview
Respond to mail, email, social media, and telephone communications from constituents affected by disability
Choose appropriate prototype letter responses reflecting the philosophy of the ministry
Draft letters that are sensitive and empathetic
Promote materials, resources, and ministry activities for furthering disability ministry
Maintain high quality grammar and punctuation
Exercise good judgment in referring unusual or complex problems to the manager
Interact with callers needing prayer and encouragement
Coordinate responses to constituents referred to other departments or US Ministries offices
Assist in packaging of outgoing mail and organizing departmental files
Actively participate in prayer events/projects
Requirements
Must possess a vibrant personal relationship with Jesus Christ
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in psychology, biblical counseling, sociology, and/or theology, or equivalent work experience
Excellent reading, writing, and typing skills
Good detail orientation, flexibility, and researching skills
Strong general computer skills are necessary along with a competent, working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook and the Internet
Knowledge and experience with the disability community and/or resources is valuable
