Role Overview
- Provide virtual comprehensive prenatal genetic counseling to a diverse patient population following established genetic counseling practice guidelines and procedures
- Provide focused genetic counseling regarding carrier screening and cell-free DNA results
- Ensure proper completion of counseling paperwork and documentation
- Communicate and consult regularly with the clinical geneticist(s) and managers
- Participate regularly in staff meetings with counselors in the region
- Maintain appropriate client interaction and confidentiality
- Engage in professional growth opportunities including writing abstracts and publications
Requirements
- Masters degree in Human Genetics or Genetic Counseling
- American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) certification or Active Candidate Status for ABGC
- Ability to obtain multi-state licensure including NJ and PA
- Highly organized, including excellent time management skills
- Strong multi-tasking ability with excellent attention to detail
- Strong computer skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office
