Senior Pharmacist, Benefits Consultant

Role Overview

• Serve as a senior resource within Mercer's Actuarial Financial Group focusing on pharmacy trends
• Lead consulting engagements with employers regarding pharmacy benefit plans
• Assist in negotiations with benefits carriers and vendors
• Manage pharmacy projects and junior staff in program reviews and financial assessments
• Establish relationships with carriers and vendors for client benefits procurement
• Leverage Mercer’s reputation to negotiate competitive rates
• Develop benefits design and renewal strategies while communicating trends

Requirements

• BA/BS degree required; master’s degree highly valued
• 8+ years of experience in Pharmacy
• Superior analytical and mathematical skills
• Excellent organizational and project management abilities
