About this role
Role Overview
Reporting to the Director of SEL Implementation, the Senior Manager of Professional Learning and Community designs and facilitates high-quality professional learning experiences that support educators and system leaders in implementing social and emotional learning.
Develop and lead professional learning experiences and communities that build capacity for SEL implementation.
Contribute to the design of asynchronous learning.
Provide coaching and consultation to school and district partners, helping translate SEL into actionable practices that strengthen adult practice, student experience, and systemwide implementation.
Facilitate cohort-based and networked learning experiences (e.g., Communities of Practice, district cohorts) that extend learning over time.
Collaborate with CASEL teams to ensure coherence across sessions, materials, and participant experiences.
Partner support and consultation to support SEL implementation aligned with their goals and context.
Requirements
5-7 years of experience as an educator in K–12 settings, with direct classroom and/or school-based experience
3-5 years of experience with district, regional, or state-level leadership experience leading or supporting systemic SEL implementation and school improvement efforts, grounded in an equity-focused lens
Experience designing and facilitating professional learning (in-person, virtual, and asynchronous), with strong knowledge of adult learning principles
Experience using digital tools and platforms to design and deliver professional learning content
Demonstrated experience using research–practice partnership approaches or inquiry-based methods to support organizational or system change
Strong project management, organizational, and implementation skills, including coordinating initiatives and supporting teams or partners
Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences
Highly reflective and analytical thinker who uses data and feedback to inform practice
