Designs truss components and truss repairs for MiTek customers and creatively solve engineering issues our customers have.
Creatively design field repairs for truss components in accordance with acceptable engineering principles and judgment.
Design truss components based on specified parameters from customers and use their knowledge of engineering and the building codes along with collaboration with other engineers in the office to ensure their designs protect the health safety and welfare of the public.
Discusses design modifications and reviews appropriate design methodologies with customers.
Assist, train and counsel customers in troubleshooting issues and design problems.
Review results of the truss design software for accuracy and collaborate with other engineers and with the software development team to determine how the software should function.
Collaborate with engineers, architects and building officials on customer component design projects.
Requirements
Bachelors Engineering required
Up to 1 Year of related experience required
Ability to perform technical skills including algebra, trigonometry geometry and basic calculus physics, statistics and strength of materials, structural analysis.
Equivalent combination of experience and education which clearly indicates the ability to perform the essential functions of the position may substitute on a year for year basis
Ability to read and understand prints and schematics
Able to use Microsoft Office Applications
Engineer-in-Training (EIT)
Any State Board preferred
