Role Overview
- Develop and evolve event-driven distributed systems
- Participate in architectural decisions considering scalability, performance, and resilience
- Implement solutions using Java, Spring Boot, Spring Batch and/or Quarkus
- Apply engineering best practices such as Clean Architecture and SOLID principles
- Work with messaging-based integrations (Kafka, SQS, RabbitMQ)
- Ensure code quality through automated tests (unit and integration; BDD is a plus)
- Contribute to data modeling and evolution (SQL and NoSQL)
- Contribute to observability practices (logs, metrics, and tracing)
- Perform code reviews and collaborate on the technical growth of the team
- Work closely with product teams and stakeholders to deliver solutions
Requirements
- Strong software engineering experience (typically 5+ years)
- Advanced proficiency in Java
- Experience with Spring (Boot, Batch) and/or Quarkus
- Experience with distributed systems
- Knowledge of event-driven architecture
- Experience with messaging systems (Kafka, SQS, or RabbitMQ)
- Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases
- Knowledge of data modeling
- Familiarity with Clean Architecture and SOLID principles
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Experience with containers and Kubernetes
- Knowledge of observability
- Experience with automated testing
