About this role
Role Overview
Assists in the creation of data staging, transformation, and validation scripts using SQL
Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques
Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
Support data quality and governance improvement opportunities
Work with large volumes of client and industry data (structured and unstructured)
Writes reports and provides quality peer-review and release of reports, as required
Ensures pipeline integrity related issues are appropriately addressed in risk modeling approaches
Performs risk analysis on specific pipeline assets
Reviews and analyzes asset specific information to identify risks and threats
Develops engineering solutions by applying data analysis techniques, including Reliability modeling and prediction, Fault Tree Analysis, Weibull Analysis, Root-Cause and Root-Cause Failure Analysis (RCA, RCFA)
Performs detailed engineering calculations
Executes on engineering aspects of Integrity Management software implementations
Meets directly with client's business users for demonstrations, project meetings, implementation workshops and training
Provides training for clients on the risk models and their assessment of the client’s risk
Requirements
Undergraduate degree in a STEM field, preferable in Engineering

3 years in client facing and software implementation
1 – 3 years’ experience in MS SQL Server or another RDBMS like Oracle, DB2, Teradata, etc.
Experience with advanced mathematical and statistical techniques
Proficiency in the Microsoft Suite, with experience developing spreadsheet models, relational databases and presentations
Pipeline operations or risk management knowledge an asset
Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management
Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Ability to work on tight deadlines
Must be able to travel in the US and Canada up to 20% of the time
