Design, develop, and update technical training materials and curricula for wind turbine technicians, including classroom, online, and hands-on training modules.
Assess training needs by staying current with industry trends, technology advancements, and changes in regulations.
Collaborate closely with subject matter experts to identify training needs, learning objectives, and content specifications.
Maintain and operate training equipment, ensuring that all tools and materials are available and in good condition for training sessions.
Develop engaging and effective learning experiences by incorporating adult learning principles, interactive activities, simulations, and practical exercises.
Deliver technical training sessions on various aspects of wind turbine technology, maintenance, and safety procedures.
Certify technicians and other personnel in specific competencies and ensure compliance with industry standards, such as those set by the Global Wind Organization (GWO).
Provide mentorship and coaching to trainees, offering feedback and guidance to support their professional development.
Create and update training materials, presentations, documentation, videos, and other resources to ensure the accuracy and relevance of training content.
Manage training content on the LMS platform, ensuring ease of access, organization, and user-friendly navigation.
Drive refinement and management of pivotal Dayforce courses, integral for new EDF employees.
Develop and administer assessments, quizzes, and evaluations to measure the effectiveness of training programs.
Analyze feedback and assessment results to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven adjustments.
Ensure training content meets compliance requirements, safety standards, and regulatory mandates.
Participate in professional development opportunities to stay informed about best practices in technical training and adult education.
Requirements
10+ years of as a wind turbine technician or engineer, with in-depth knowledge of turbine systems, maintenance practices, and safety protocols
10+ years of field engineering experience
Technical degree or certification in wind energy technology, engineering, or a related field; additional certification in technical training or adult education is a plus.
Proven experience in designing and delivering technical training programs in a corporate or educational setting.
Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning development tools.
