Role Overview
- Perform routine and critical respiratory care procedures under supervision
- Evaluate the results of patient respiratory care delivered per care plans
- Setup, maintain, and chart the usage of oxygen therapy and ventilator therapy
- Provide ventilator support and airway management to various populations
- Participate in blood gas quality controls and proficiency studies
Requirements
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days
- American Heart Association (AHA)
- Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP)
- Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
- Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy OR Certificate of Completion in Respiratory Therapy
