About this role
Role Overview
Participate in root cause analysis for design and manufacturing issues at the PCB/PCBA and system level
Research, select, qualify and maintain electronic components that are used in the product
Contribute on the design, development, testing, and transfer of products to manufacturing
Create schematics and PCB layouts; manage prototype fabrication and assembly with external vendors
Investigate PCB/PCBA quality concerns and work with contract manufacturers to drive improvements
Perform hands-on lab measurements and circuit analysis to diagnose and resolve issues
Participate in cross-functional meetings to review design, manufacturing procedures, or quality related issues
Apply principles and techniques of electrical engineering to analyze failures to improve design or manufacturing processes
Participate in human factor / usability and design validation process
Participate in risk management analysis and documentation
Responsible for design modification, new component qualification, design change test requirements, and design change documentation
Requirements
Bachelor's degree required (preferred field of study: Electrical Engineering)
Demonstrated working knowledge of electrical engineering (both analog and digital)
Demonstrated working knowledge of low power embedded design
Demonstrated working knowledge of Computer Aided Design
Demonstrated working knowledge of tools and instruments utilized in electrical engineering field
Familiarity with FDA guidelines on design and manufacturing of the medical devices is a plus
Effective verbal and written communication skills
