Design and integration of mission-critical systems using advanced technologies
Contribute to system design activities, including trade studies, to ensure mechanical designs are consistent with system baselines and meet performance requirements.
Perform technical risk analysis to support hazard logs, safety cases, and risk mitigation activities.
Develop and implement assigned mechanical systems and sub‑systems in accordance with applicable standards, procedures, and design requirements.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high‑quality engineering outcomes and reinforce Raytheon’s reputation as a trusted partner in systems integration and mission support.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (or equivalent)
Experience designing electronics enclosures and integrating components into enclosures, preferably in a defence environment.
Experience with 3D CAD software packages such as Creo.
Experience in producing manufacture drawings in accordance with recognised standards.
Ability to work in a multidisciplined team environment with systems, electrical and specialty engineers.
Ability to design systems to specified requirements and develop documentation to demonstrate compliance.
Exposure to shock and vibration analysis and testing and knowledge of equipment environmental standards.
Experience designing for maintenance access, cooling analysis, and cable routing design is desirable.
Excellent written and oral communications skills.
Experience in a Defence related industry is desirable.
Eligibility to obtain and maintain Australian Government (Defence) Security Clearance up to Negative Vetting Level 1.
