Comprehensive review of new and transfer file assignments with initial evaluation letter to claims
Summarizing discovery responses and medical records within 30 days of receipt
Taking and defending depositions of parties, lay witnesses, and expert witnesses
Completion of deposition summaries within 20 days
Legal research; preparation of motions, oppositions and replies to motion; court appearance at law and motion
Trial preparation, trial and posttrial motions
Preparation of pretrial documents, motions in limine and oppositions thereto
Managing assignments from managing and senior managing attorneys

Requires a law degree and admission to the bar in the state(s) where practicing
Licensed in the state(s) where practicing
3 plus years as a licensed attorney with insurance defense experience preferred
1st and 2nd chair trial experience a plus
Effective communication, persuasion and analytical skills
Considerable automobile travel, up to 20% of work time
Must meet established company standards regarding personal driving history and current license status
Must be able to work independently with minimum direction and good organizational skills
