Assess, plan, organize, and participate in rehabilitative treatments that improve mobility, relieve pain, increase strength, and improve or correct disabling conditions resulting from disease or injury.
Coordinate care of patients in collaboration with healthcare professionals, family and caregiver.
Deliver, assess, plan, organize, and participate in rehabilitative treatments utilizing evidence-based occupational therapy treatment interventions.
Develop and maintain the patient’s plan of care in collaboration with Physician’s, the patient and family.
Evaluate the effects of treatment at various stages and adjust treatments to achieve maximum benefit.
Complete patient care documentation recording the prognosis, treatment, response, and progress in patient's chart.
Assists in precepting, orienting and teaching students (OT students, hospital staff).
Requirements
Master's Degree required
Less than 1 year previous experience in PT; new grads and newly licensed PTs are able to apply for and be hired into Rehab Services Physical Therapist positions.
BLS-Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR)
AHA
American Heart Association or American Red Cross required
PTL-Physical Therapist License
