Role Overview
- Maintains the General Ledger
- Prepares financial statements
- Performs account analysis
- Interprets and analyzes financial reports for various management personnel
- Prepares monthly general and standard journal entries, financial statements and comparative reports, monthly account reconciliations, and cost reports
- Develops special reports and financial analyses as needed or requested for administration and finance
- Analyzes financial reports and records to include in financial studies and various management reports
- Reviews and verifies financial reports prepared by other accountants for accuracy
- Oversees the coding and input of data to financial data processing system
- Serves as consultant regarding the hospital's financial affairs
- Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for federal, state, or other regulatory agencies
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Three (3) years accounting, finance or related experience
- Knowledge of GAAP
- Preferred
- Strong analytical, conceptual skills
- Oral and written communication skills
