Senior Data Scientist – Focus on Credit Approval and Guarantees

Role Overview

Joining the Credit Approval and Guarantees data team means embedding a data-driven culture into daily work. Your primary responsibilities will include developing, implementing, and monitoring statistical models (such as behavior models, application models, clustering, among others). You will also conduct studies and analyses to propose the creation or improvement of credit approval strategies and the application of guarantees in credit decisions. We have ongoing interaction with other departments and with Credit Cooperatives, since our deliveries are coordinated together. Therefore, topics and working groups may vary from time to time.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Accounting and Actuarial Sciences, Engineering, Economics, Computer Science, or related areas
• Experience with statistical modeling applied to the credit market
• Strong writing skills, ability to synthesize information, and effective communication
• Experience with programming languages and tools such as R, Python, Spark, and SQL
• Hands-on experience in data analysis, monitoring metrics, and performing ad-hoc studies
• Knowledge and practical experience in the credit market
• Intermediate English is desirable.
