Role Overview
- Lead a talented team of 3 professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and professional growth
- Shape the strategic direction of product accounting operations
- Own the end-to-end monthly close process and quarterly/annual financial reporting cycles
- Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance across IFRS, NAIC and U.S. GAAP accounting frameworks
- Lead implementation of complex accounting guidance
- Partner with business units to deliver insightful financial analysis
- Oversee audited financial statements for separate accounts
- Champion new product accounting frameworks and system implementations
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes, enhance controls, and leverage technology
- Collaborate across finance, business, and support functions
Requirements
- 8+ years of progressive experience in large financial institutions
- Demonstrated expertise in quarterly/annual reporting, audit coordination, regulatory compliance, and internal controls
- Fluent in SAP, Hyperion, and Tableau
- Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency
- Strong foundation in life insurance accounting and separate accounts
- Experience with IFRS, NAIC and U.S. GAAP accounting preferred
- Exceptional communicator who builds trust, develops talent, and translates complex financial concepts for diverse stakeholders
