Responsible for design projects, developing design calculations using standard and advanced analysis (FEA) techniques, developing drawings, and developing specifications for structures made of steel, concrete, and masonry with emphasis on seismic design
Support the Oak Ridge, TN office with some travel

Requirements
Sole US citizenship required (to comply with government customer requirements and/or applicable government regulations)
B.S. in Structural/Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited engineering school
5+ years of post-education experience
Design experience with steel, concrete, and masonry with emphasis on seismic design
Experience implementing local and national code such as IBC, AISC, ACI, ASCE 7
Ability to follow and implement established quality procedures and ensure that all work accomplished is procedurally compliant
Experience working within a quality system based on ISO 9000 or NQA-1
Ability to use finite element software such as STAAD.pro (or equivalent)
Competence using Microsoft Office software
Ability to learn new software as necessary for project success
Experience using Revit, AutoCAD, or MicroStation software (preferred)
A PE license with ability to obtain a new state license (preferred)
Experience delivering a range of projects from conceptual design through detailed design (preferred)
Knowledge of nuclear codes such as DOE 1020, AISC N690, and ACI 349 (preferred)
Reside within a commutable distance from our Oak Ridge, TN office (preferred)
