Role Overview
Lead Generator-selected component qualification programs from initiation through successful and timely closure, ensuring alignment with technical, quality, and business requirements.
Project manage and support all process steps before, during, and after qualification, including identifying and managing key dependencies, risks, and cross-functional inputs.
Onboard new vendors and ensure effective communication is established and maintained through the appropriate channels across internal teams and external partners.
Develop and maintain qualification project plans, including scope, milestones, and execution requirements, and hold both internal teams and suppliers accountable for delivery.
Partner with Commodity Owners (GCLs, CSLs) to define, secure, and manage the budget required to support qualification activities.
Lead cross-functional execution across Engineering, Sourcing Quality, Materials, Factory/Supply Chain, and Commodity teams to ensure effective planning and implementation of qualification activities.
Identify, assess, and drive mitigation of schedule, execution, and budget risks affecting assigned qualification programs, and manage resolution of major issues as they arise.
Maintain continuous alignment with Commodity Owners (GCLs, CSLs) and the Generator Capacity Program Manager on global demand needs, project prioritization, and qualification execution plans.
Ensure qualification program priorities and execution are aligned with the Gas Power Generator & Aero Sourcing team’s SQDC KPI metrics.
Provide timely communication of project status, key risks, mitigation plans, and critical decisions to cross-functional stakeholders and leadership, including management of escalations as required.
Prepare periodic and ad hoc management updates, reports, and project readouts.
Support make/buy and vendor-to-vendor strategy execution in alignment with Supply Chain team decisions.
Requirements
BS/BA Degree (Technical or Business preferred)
Experience in sourcing, sourcing quality, supply chain program management or engineering program management.
Experience in leading teams for project execution.
Working knowledge of Parts ERP Systems, including Business Intelligence tools (Data Warehouse, PowerSource)
Expert level of project tracking tools (MS Projects, etc)
Strong skills in MS Office Applications (including MS Access).
