Manage projects of varied size and complexity, undertaking the day-to-day project activities of a Project Manager
Support in identifying the project Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
Produce and undertake project governance
Support in producing the procurement strategy report with the client and quantity surveyors
Negotiations with contractors to establish budgets and programmes
Manage and support the project team on snagging inspections
Maintain and support good client working relationships acting a main point of contact for queries, as necessary
Undertake reviews of lessons learnt, implementing changes for future improvements
Ensure internal systems are kept updates e.g. finance and resource trackers and timely sign off of invoices
Internal governance such a reviews of flash reports and senior signatories on approved documents
Working collaboratively with other consultants
Observe Health & Safety provision in the working environment and CDM 2015 regulations including escalating any HSE issues
Endeavour to improve our social and environmental impact
Requirements
Ideally Chartered or working towards Chartership
Relevant experience working within the construction industry as a Project Manager
Ability to deliver a medium to large size project with minor support from senior staff
Excellent technical knowledge in all areas of project management
A client-centric outlook with a focus on the delivery of targets, quality and deadlines, meeting client objectives cost effectively
Ability to hold own in discussions and meetings with contractors and senior clients and other stakeholders
Ability to delegate tasks to assistants and support them on project activities
