Visit key institutions where patients have been treated with the Impella pump portfolio to collect clinically relevant data.
Provide proctoring/support for cases at new surgical sites and for complex cases at established sites.
Conduct After Action Reviews (AAR) with physicians after cases and communicate findings.
Responsible for ongoing training at European key sites.
Enable and promote the growth and performance of our surgical business.
Coordinate and lead activities with the SAM, franchise team (TM/CC), training department, Medical Office, and manage customer education for new and existing accounts to ensure optimal clinical outcomes.
Support Abiomed’s goal to establish heart recovery as the new standard of care.
Represent the company at surgical conferences across the EMEA region.
Requirements
Successfully completed clinical or clinically-technical training, ideally as a nurse or as a cardiac technologist/clinical perfusionist (perfusionist).
Proven experience in direct patient care in the OR with cardiac surgery and/or with surgical medical devices in the area of heart failure and mechanical circulatory support (MCS) as a perfusionist; ICU nurse; or OR nurse.
Extensive experience in business support with products and technologies in the cardiovascular field, including mechanical circulatory support.
Solid knowledge of cardiac surgery, perfusion medicine, mechanical circulatory support, intensive care units, and structural heart disease.
Fluent in German and advanced English skills.
Valid driver's license.
Willingness to travel: ability to travel up to 80% within the assigned territory.
