The OFCI Equipment Procurement Manager – Data Centers is responsible for the technical and commercial procurement of Owner-Furnished, Contractor-Installed (OFCI) equipment for mission-critical data center facilities.
The role ensures that long-lead, high-reliability power and cooling equipment meets stringent performance, redundancy, and availability requirements while aligning procurement schedules with construction, commissioning, and go-live milestones.
This position reports to the Procurement Manager EU Team Lead and is a remote position serving the geographically distributed projects for the company.
Define OFCI equipment scope in collaboration with data center design, engineering, and construction teams.
Review and validate technical specifications, single-line diagrams, layouts, and equipment datasheets with data center design, engineering, and construction teams.
Ensure compliance with data center design criteria (Tier levels, redundancy, fault tolerance, uptime targets).
Manage technical clarifications, deviations, and vendor compliance matrices.
Issue RFQs/RFPs for critical data center infrastructure equipment.
Lead technical and commercial bid evaluations with engineering stakeholders.
Conduct vendor technical interviews and design alignment workshops.
Manage procurement and delivery of long-lead, mission-critical equipment, including electrical and mechanical systems.
Monitor vendor engineering, manufacturing, and testing schedules.
Develop logistics strategies for oversized and critical equipment and coordinate international shipping and customs clearance.
Track long-lead items and procurement activities on the project critical path and identify and mitigate risks.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study, (i.e. Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, Project Management, etc.) or equivalent combination of experience and technical training.
5+ years of experience in technical procurement or engineering for data centers or mission-critical facilities
