Role Overview
- XCP-ng pool management: hosts, hypervisors, virtual networks, SR
- VM monitoring and resource optimization (CPU/RAM/IOPS)
- Automation through Xen Orchestra, Vates API, or scripts (Python/Bash)
- VM lifecycle management (creation, migration, snapshots, HA)
- HA setup, live migration, cluster optimization
- Participation in deployments, hypervisor patching, and orchestrator updates
- Collaboration with storage team (NetApp provisioning)
- Level 2/3 virtualization incident resolution
- Hypervisor network management
Requirements
- XCP-ng hypervisors, Xen Orchestra, Linux
- Scripting (Bash/Python)
- SR knowledge (iSCSI / NFS / Storage Repos)
