Serve as the lead bioinformatics scientist for internal drug discovery and development programs
Provide comprehensive hands-on support for new target exploration and validation
Design, develop, and deploy effective bioinformatics workflows and interactive tools to analyze high-dimensional Omics data
Collaborate with the IT team to establish and maintain the bioinformatics computing and analysis infrastructure
Develop and execute detailed Omics data generation and analysis plans to support internal program development
Propose follow-up validation plans and drive cross-functional validation work
Provide guidance and mentorship to bioinformatics scientists
Work with research scientists and the global biomarker and translational research team
Requirements
A Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or other related fields
At least 8 years of relevant industry experience
Proficient in programming and scripting with R
Expertise in at least one other programming language (e.g., Python, Perl, Java)
Skilled in working with Linux systems and server/cloud computing environments
Extensive experience in analyzing high-throughput biomedical data (e.g., RNASeq, scRNAseq, WES, spatial gene expression profiling)
Familiarity with tools for reproducible research such as Git, Conda, Snakemake, or Nextflow
Demonstrated expertise in clinical biomarker analysis focused on Omics biomarker data for oncology, hematology, or immunology-related drug discovery and development
Strong foundation in statistics and mathematics; experience with machine learning/AI is a plus
Excellent communication, project management, and leadership skills; experience in delivering within a matrix working environment
Proficiency in both spoken and written English; fluency in Mandarin
