Role Overview
- Provides guidance and sets strategy for model risk management framework
- Identifies process and governance gaps related to model risk management
- Maintains strong partnerships with model validation and internal audit teams
- Connects with diverse stakeholders to promote model risk management activities
- Oversees model operations activities and lifecycle activities
- Guides development of management reporting for modeling leadership
- Partners with business leaders and technology teams to improve processes
- Supports audit and regulatory readiness
- Provides guidance to modeling teams in navigating model lifecycle requirements
- Leads a team of employees and related management activities
Requirements
- Experience in model risk management and governance
- Strong analytical thinking
- Knowledge of credit risks and operational risks
- Familiarity with data analytics and financial analysis
- Competence in model development and quantitative models
- Bachelor's degree or higher; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
- Minimum of 8 years of industry-relevant experience
- At least 5 years of prior management experience
- Proven leadership experience with a moderate to large scope of responsibility
