About this role
Role Overview
Acts as primary technical owner during 3rd shift for one or more Tier-1 / regulated production applications dealing with check capture, core posting, and inbound & outbound exceptions processing.
Leads real-time incident triage and restoration for Sev-1 to Sev-3 issues, including application, batch, and infrastructure-adjacent failures.
Creates and leads the technical design and development of software solutions.
Proposes & designs software solutions to address complex business needs.
Prepares technical and procedural documentation required.
Facilitates complex problem resolution.
Provides technical guidance and support to colleagues.
Reviews coding, testing, and documentation of software.
Applies modern principles, methodologies and tools to advance business initiatives and capabilities.
Requirements
3+ years of relevant / direct industry experience
Strong Technical Engineering Background
Hands-on experience as a senior software engineer or engineer lead in production environments (Java, .NET, mainframe, and/or distributed stack depending on platform)
Proven ability to perform: Defect analysis and root-cause isolation Log analysis, job restart logic, configuration correction Post-incident validation and environment health checks
Comfortable being “the owner when things break” during off-hours
Clear, concise incident communication with support partners, infrastructure teams, and day-shift leadership
Guides and supports overnight engineers (SRC, offshore, or hybrid)
