Supporting the development of the annual budget and periodic forecasting for designated departments through robust cost analysis and in-depth financial review.
Delivering timely and insightful analysis of actual financial results, including commentary on key variances compared to budget, forecast and prior year results.
Preparing financial reports and reporting packages/presentations for OMA and its subsidiaries, including the design and development of dynamic financial reports using Jet Reports.
Performing timely analysis and reconciliation of assigned accounts and preparing supplementary schedules and supporting analysis for the financial statements.
Supporting internal and external audits by preparing working papers and supporting documentation for the year-end audit requirements.
Participating in projects and initiatives focused on improving accounting processes and procedures, including leveraging AI-driven solutions and advanced reporting tools to enhance financial analysis, reporting efficiency and data accuracy.
Requirements
University Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting or equivalent
Canadian CPA designation
Six to nine years of progressive accounting and financial analysis experience
Experience working with financial and reporting systems such as Business Central, Jet Reports, Prophix, and Concur
Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience using financial reporting and budgeting tools to support analysis and decision-making
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a solid understanding of accounting principles and practices, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
