About this role
Role Overview
Manage all SGFP activities related to planning, organizing, supporting SGFP Executive and constituency operations; ensure effective coordination of resources, logistics, meetings, and deliverables aligned with SGFP priorities.
Develop and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with SGFP Executive, CEO and constituency leaders; act as a key advisor on relevant OMA policies, processes, and resources.
Translate SGFP priorities within the broader OMA landscape by coordinating policy development, research, communications, and strategic initiatives in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
Provide support to OMA CEO as required in their SGFP relationship management, including attending meetings with the CEO, taking notes, tracking action items and issues, etc.
Liaise and coordinate SGFP activities across OMA departments and with external stakeholders to ensure alignment integration, and effective execution of initiatives; serve as primary point of contact for SGFP leadership on complex issues or cross-functional issues.
Support SGFP financial planning and oversight activities, including working closely with OMA Finance on the SGFP’s budget development, forecasting, and monitoring of expenditures (e.g., honoraria, discretionary funds), ensuring alignment with SGFP priorities and OMA financial policies.
Requirements
Undergraduate degree in Health Science, Political Science, or equivalent
Six to nine years of relevant healthcare administration, public speaking and political acuity experience
Applied knowledge and experience in Ontario’s healthcare sector is preferred
In depth knowledge of primary care and the issues primary care physicians face across the health care system
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience supporting senior leaders
Strong relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills.
