About this role
Role Overview
Provide legal counsel on corporate, commercial, employment, regulatory, and compliance matters.
Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including supply, service, and vendor contracts.
Ensure company operations comply with Mexican federal and state laws, as well as relevant international regulations.
Support corporate governance initiatives and ensure adherence to internal policies and procedures.
Manage litigation and dispute resolution matters, coordinating with external counsel where necessary.
Conduct legal research and provide proactive guidance on legal risks and emerging regulatory developments.
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including management, HR, finance, and operations teams.
Assist in developing and delivering legal training to employees.
Requirements
Law degree (Juris Doctor or equivalent) from an accredited law school.
Licensed to practice law in Mexico and in good standing.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant legal experience (law firm and/or in-house), preferably within a multinational or manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of Mexican corporate, commercial, labor, and regulatory law; international experience is an advantage.
Professional English knowledge is a must have.
Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills in English and Spanish (written and verbal).
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical standards.
Strong analytical and conflict resolution skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
