Lead and grow an engineering team delivering mission-critical software to dental practices and their patients
Directly oversee a team of various levels of engineers (onshore and nearshore) and influence engineering practices, technical execution, and outcomes across the organization
Drive clarity, accountability, and alignment through effective communication of goals, priorities, and status to team members and stakeholders
Support hiring, onboarding, coaching, performance management, and career development to attract and retain top engineering talent
Establish and ensure adherence to standards for software engineering, analysis, QA, and project delivery
Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
Partner with Product and UX to deliver customer-centric solutions that align with strategic initiatives
Monitor and manage project scope, forecasts, risks, and budgets
Promote mature DevOps practices, continuous integration/deployment, and test-driven development
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred
7+ years of progressive software development experience with our tech stack, with 1+ years in people management
Proven success leading distributed or hybrid engineering teams at scale
Excellent knowledge of SDLC, including Agile methodologies and CI/CD practices
Ability to lead through influence, resolve conflict, and build consensus across functions
Clear, empathetic communicator who thrives in collaborative environments
Analytical, strategic thinker who can balance tech debt, innovation, and delivery
