About this role
Role Overview
leading the accurate and timely production of high-volume invoices, overseeing the end-to-end process from order to billing
taking ownership of management accounting for Work in Progress (WIP), Accrued Income and Deferred Income
standardising and integrating billing models across systems and teams to ensure consistency and data accuracy
driving automation initiatives to reduce manual processes and improve efficiency across the invoicing workflow
collaborating with Finance, Sales, IT and Data Analytics teams to streamline billing cycles and support cash flow
building strong relationships with internal stakeholders to resolve queries promptly and maintain smooth billing operations
developing reporting mechanisms to track invoicing KPIs and business performance metrics
supporting and mentoring finance assistants and junior team members
Requirements
proven experience managing high volumes of invoice transactions, ideally within financial services
strong understanding of invoicing processes, revenue recognition and accounting standards
proficiency in management accounting
particularly WIP, Accrued and Deferred Income
excellent Excel skills and the ability to pick up new systems quickly
a strong analytical mindset with the ability to spot trends and provide actionable insight
confident communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels
highly organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities under pressure
