Provides process engineering guidance and technical expertise to operating departments aiming to achieve a safe & sustained plant performance
Provides technical input in EHSS activities, e.g. MOCs, PHAs, HazOps, PSERs (Pre-Startup EHSS Reviews) and verifies EHSS process related calculations
Supports operating departments in achieving Sustainability KPIs
Performs requested studies to assess operating plants’ conditions to improve safe performance and achieve production capacity/Targets, through PESR system
Analyzes new technical developments in process engineering to propose improvements in the existing facilities, as well as focal point for handling process related technical service requests (TSRs)
Periodically monitors critical operating parameters to assess equipment performance, with respect to optimum operation, and develops plant load optimization proposals, when applicable
Supports Operating plants in process feasibility studies, BEDD, PDP, FEED, detailed engineering, execution, run test, commissioning and startup of site projects to ensure proper compliance
Participates in operating plants’ startups & shutdowns, as well as support in investigations of unscheduled plant interruptions
Participates in process related Reliability Methodologies of operating plants
Conducts studies of process chronic problems, and provide short/long term solution proposals
Represents PETROKEMYA in licensor and other SABIC entities’ communication, exchanging expertise & knowledge in resolving technical problems
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering
Minimum 10 Years of experience in a petrochemical industry at MTBE plants
Familiar with international standards, codes and regulations
Simulation programs utilization experience
Strong technical, Cost analysis and technical writing skills
