About this role
Role Overview
Customer support: primary point of contact for customers via phone, email, and remote access.
Independent receipt, handling, and documentation of service requests and incidents.
Technical support and system monitoring: analyze, prioritize, and permanently resolve incidents.
Administration of server hardware, storage systems, operating systems, and networks.
Proactive monitoring of customer systems and regular health checks.
Identifying root causes and deriving improvement measures.
Planning, execution, and management of managed services within agreed SLAs.
Participation in change management and consistent documentation of all processes.
Creation of service reports and support for Continual Service Improvement (CSI).
Requirements
Completed vocational training in IT (e.g., IT specialist for system integration) or comparable qualification.
Career changers with relevant practical experience are also welcome.
Motivation and willingness to learn: curious, eager to grow, and committed to continuously expanding knowledge in a modern IT environment.
Professional and friendly demeanor when dealing with customers and colleagues.
Team player who can also work independently.
Proficient with Windows (client/server) and Linux systems.
Familiar with concepts like DNS and DHCP, and possess a solid basic understanding of networking.
Good practical experience with VMware technologies (Broadcom / Omnissa) and knowledge of cloud environments.
Interest in IT security topics and actively applying or deepening this knowledge in day-to-day work.
Enthusiasm for new technologies and trends, especially in cloud and security.
