About this role
Role Overview
Define and govern standard equipment specifications and approved vendor lists
Identify low-cost, high-value equipment solutions for standard equipment utilized in 10 or more sites
Partner with Procurement on sourcing strategies and supplier engagement for bulk purchasing
Approve equipment deviations and lifecycle strategies
Monitor equipment performance and total cost of ownership
Support sites with equipment selection guidance
Incorporate lifecycle maintenance cost, failure modes, and reliability risk into equipment standards and sourcing strategies
Develop and maintain network‑level reliability risk assessments for standard equipment and critical asset classes – optimize value of current assets
Provide guidance to the engineering network on the highest reliability and maintenance risks across North America
Partner with Reliability and Operations leaders to validate equipment standards against real‑world performance.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
8 years of equipment or manufacturing engineering experience
Experience working with suppliers and procurement teams
