Role Overview
- Define and govern standard equipment specifications and approved vendor lists
- Identify low-cost, high-value equipment solutions for standard equipment utilized in 10 or more sites
- Partner with Procurement on sourcing strategies and supplier engagement for bulk purchasing
- Approve equipment deviations and lifecycle strategies
- Monitor equipment performance and total cost of ownership
- Support sites with equipment selection guidance
- Incorporate lifecycle maintenance cost, failure modes, and reliability risk into equipment standards and sourcing strategies
- Develop and maintain network‑level reliability risk assessments for standard equipment and critical asset classes – optimize value of current assets
- Provide guidance to the engineering network on the highest reliability and maintenance risks across North America
- Partner with Reliability and Operations leaders to validate equipment standards against real‑world performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- 8 years of equipment or manufacturing engineering experience
- Experience working with suppliers and procurement teams
