Senior Python Developer

Role Overview

• Execution of software development projects, ensuring adherence to best practices, coding standards, and quality assurance in accordance with the development lifecycle, from concept to deployment, with a focus on delivering scalable and robust solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to development projects.
• Participate in processes for continuous improvement, including code reviews, performance analysis, and feedback loops to enhance the overall development lifecycle.
• Use agile development methodologies, promoting adaptive planning, evolutionary development, and early delivery of value. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and enhance overall project efficiency.
• Work with other members of the team to foster a collaborative environment that encourages continuous learning and professional growth. Instill a passion for quality code, creativity, and problem-solving within the development team.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, Mathematics, or relevant field
• Strong experience with Python
• Knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and design patterns
• Designed and implemented backends and APIs to a high standard of functionality including security, stability and efficiency
• Strong knowledge of Microservices & Micro-frontends (Docker)
• Strong experience with multiple databases (e.g. MySQL, Postgres, NoSQL)
• Experience working in a Unix environment
• Code versioning tools (Git)
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Great attention to detail
• Organizational skills
• An analytical mind
• Ability to pick up new programming languages quickly
• Familiar with CI/CD pipelines and general DevOps practices
