Role Overview
- Plan, monitor and control the IT budget (CAPEX and OPEX), ensuring financial efficiency and alignment with strategic planning.
- Identify ongoing opportunities for cost reduction and optimization while ensuring service quality, performance and sustainability of technology services.
- Implement and promote FinOps practices and IT financial governance.
- Prepare and track financial indicators, including budget vs. actual, forecast, savings and operational efficiency metrics.
- Manage the lifecycle of IT contracts, including procurement, renewal, renegotiation and contract termination.
- Lead supplier negotiations to secure better commercial terms, cost optimization and improved service levels (SLAs).
- Perform critical reviews of existing contracts, proposing improvements and adjustments aligned with business needs.
- Ensure contractual compliance, risk mitigation and adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct technical and financial feasibility studies for new technology solutions, considering cost-benefit and operational efficiency.
- Evaluate technological optimization alternatives, such as cloud, outsourcing, automation, tool rationalization and replatforming.
- Lead optimization initiatives during contract renewal processes, ensuring the best balance between technical and economic models.
- Develop business cases for strategic IT projects, including ROI, TCO, payback and financial viability analyses.
- Support business areas and leadership in decision-making and in advocating for strategic investments.
- Translate technical requirements into business value through structured analyses and performance indicators.
- Assess, audit and drive continuous improvements in internal technology processes, ensuring alignment with frameworks such as ITIL and COBIT.
- Define, monitor and report the area’s KPIs and OKRs, developing executive dashboards and performance analyses.
- Act consultatively with managers and stakeholders, strengthening alignment between technology, operations and business strategy.
- Foster a culture focused on data, performance and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Experience in IT budget management, financial control and cost optimization initiatives.
- Experience in contract management, supplier negotiations and SLA monitoring.
- Knowledge of FinOps practices, financial governance and IT sourcing/contracting models.
- Experience preparing business cases and financial analyses such as ROI, TCO, payback and forecasts.
- Familiarity with governance and service management frameworks such as ITIL and COBIT.
- Experience defining and monitoring performance indicators (KPIs and OKRs).
- Strong analytical skills for interpreting financial, operational and strategic data.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across different functions and hierarchical levels.
- Consultative profile with a focus on problem solving, continuous improvement and delivering business value.
- Preferably experienced in complex corporate environments and technology transformation projects.
